Philosophy of biology, medicine and mind.

I am currently an Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge. Before joining Cambridge, I was a Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, City University of New York. In 2022, I completed a PhD in philosophy jointly awarded by King’s College London and Humboldt-Unversität zu Berlin. In Berlin, I spent most of my time at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain and, at King’s, I was affiliated with the Sowerby Philosophy & Medicine Project. My primary research interest is biological function, its relation to pathology and disease, and its manifestation in the brain.
